Starting in 1919 as a cottage prayer meeting, we shortly developed into a church that seeks to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the past 90 years, the world has grown and changed.
Here at Humble First Assembly, we too, have grown and changed, all the while, keeping our message of Jesus Christ the same. Currently, our attendees include more than a hundred families, some of who are the children and other descendants of our original members.
Today, as before, we are still actively seeking to meet the needs of our congregants, community and world. With various ministries for children, youth and adults we seek to reach the lost, grow as Christians and continue to serve others.
We are so committed to this undertaking, that our mission statement is “Loving and Serving God; Loving and Serving People”.
If you have never been to First Assembly in Humble, we welcome you to any of our services or events.
We offer Life Classes for all ages as well as a contemporary worship service on Sundays. Wednesday nights we provide a “family style” evening with adult Bible Studies and group activities for kids.
Once a month, we set aside a Sunday evening for a free, southern-style gospel concert featuring a different artist each month (see the Heritage Night tab under the Other Ministries).
We also have FUSION, our small home group ministries (see the FUSION tab under “Church Ministries”). These small home groups provide an opportunity for you to connect with others at a home near you.
In addition we offer numerous small groups who’s missions vary from developing Christians through Bible study, to fellowshipping with those with like interests or hobbies, to serving the needs of those in the community and world, etc. Parents, you can go to the children’s and youth’s section of our website to learn more about small groups and programs designed specifically for them.
For more information about our ministries, small groups or outreaches feel free to “check out” the rest of our website or call the church office at 281-446-7215. We would love to hear from you!
